[Kwang Jin Kim]
Where are you going?

[B.J. Kim]
Going to file some papers. Tomorrow is the deadline, I think it will end up pretty well.

[B.J. Kim]
Oh hello. Yes… Yes… no problem. It’s not just what we did, but all of our collective efforts. Congratulations are in order. Great result.

No matter what, the result is one of the most important things for attorneys. Even if we try and give our 110%, the final goal for us is winning the case and making our clients happy.

When I see Manhattan, all of those buildings built on top of the rocks, I think of just how great many attorneys and business people are there, and their everyday lives and intensity in living and competing … Their intensive lives and competitions to make their own dreams come true.

Litigation is war. Life is a war, but I think litigation is also a war. In a war, how hard we fight is paramount to winning, important, but ultimately the most important thing is the final outcome. History is written by the victors. We should be the one writing this history. In other words, we have to win…

[Christine M. Bae]
BJ really has the mind of a true business person. Even when he gives His legal consultation , the focus inevitably incorporate the workings of turns to the client’s business. How to cultivate it that business and make it better. Many clients are greatly surprised at this ability. I think this is because he majored in business. Many clients say “I came here to get legal advice and am leaving with invaluable business advice as well.” All of them feel grateful.

[Bo Shim, Manager]
Hello, Mr. Kim. This is Bo Shim from Kim & Bae, P.C. I just called to see how things are going with your 2nd mortgage settlement negotiation.

There was someone whose The clients’ house almost got foreclosed, but we got involved at the last minute and were able to help them sell their home through a short sale and have them walk away. She visited me after her closing, grabbed my hands thanking me with tears in her eyes.

[B.J. Kim]
In order to manage Kim & Bae successfully, the attorneys and staff of Kim & Bae are of paramount importance in making this office what it I drive our attorneys and staff really hard. They sometimes work until 11 or 12 in at the evening, over the weekends, and sometimes for 3 straight or more days without any break. This is possible because I push them really hard, even up to the point of breaking, we need to. I tell them that we have to do it, that we must achieve the best results.

[David Polazzi, Attorney]
I was hired in May and since I’ve started he has wanted us to perform, do our best in all time work very hard for him… First thing he asked me to do is learn Korean.

[Wonki Yun, General Manager]

and He expects a lot from anyone who worked for him

[Christine Bae]
Hannah, is that file ready?

[Hannah Choi: Staff]
Yes

[Jimmy Song, Attorney]
I think Christine Bae is an effective boss, and I think she really cares about her employees and I don’t want to call her “Mother Lee” or anything like that, but I think she bring really a warmth and family type atmosphere.

[B.J. Kim]
Kim & Bae, P.C. was able to get to here because Christine and I are two completely different people. We see the same case in totally different ways. We are good at different things and also bad at different things. Basically we are two people playing one person’s role. So as one a single person, we can produce be 160% effective. That’s our real strength and forte. Although I think if Christine was not my wife, and just a partner, this would be a real big problem, especially if I had to pay to hire such a person.

We also have the power to move things forward. Once we make a decision, we move things forward quickly, without hesitation and with zealousness regardless what is coming our way.

[YTN Anchor]
As more and more transactions and dealings are being made between S. Korea and the U.S., commercial litigations between companies are also increasing.

We are now talking with B.J. Kim, a Korean American attorney from the United States.
Hello.

[B.J. Kim]
Hello.

[YTN]
I just mentioned that the number of the litigation cases is rising along with the increased transactions and dealings between S. Korea and the U.S., is that right?

[Christine Bae]
I think that people in Korea want to know the life in the U.S., including its legal system, the culture and the lifestyle.

[B.J. Kim]
Since Kim & Bae is the attorneys for YTN, in that sense I guess we were recognized as good and authenticated us attorneys by YTN. This authentication by YTN would mean I think we are now taking a giant step for us in being accepted as a recognized firm to become a well known law firm even in Korea.

[Wonki Yun, General Manager]
He always says and emphasizes that we cannot make any mistakes in representing our clients. Don’t think of this as just a job, but someone’s livelihood that we are changing.

[B.J. Kim]
A law firm does not close after a year or two. I am now 47 years old and plan on working for another 20-30 years. This is a business that should go on for good, so I want to build a bigger and better reputation. What will they think of us in 5 years, 10 years, or 15 years? I want Kim & Bae to be a firm that is not just recognized respected by the Korean community, but also by the households, businesses and other law firms in the U.S. and abroad.
